Intent:

Students are supposed to demonstrate the animation skills developed in the previous unit. All characters, images, media and audio must be original.
The aim of this unit is that students will be able to create an expressive cartoon animation of 30 seconds independently as part of the final rich unit project/exam. This could be in form of a public announcement that delivers a certain message to a target audience, an animated series for television or a movie trailer for an upcoming movie.

Students can choose from the topics given by the teacher or come up with an own topic (get the green light after consultation with me). Every student has to outline his/her idea in a storyboard and manage their given time effectively to accomplish this project.

RICH UNIT PROJECT TOPICS:
  • The box
  • Safety (e.g. The Safety Pig)
  • School life
  • Aliens
  • Rapid Transit in Winnipeg
  • Own topic (Consultation)...
